Front Desk Volunteers

SVMA is always looking for friendly, outgoing volunteers for our front desk. Front Desk Hosts greet and orient visitors, collect admission and merchandise fees, track attendance, and monitor the galleries.

 

Administrative Volunteers

SVMA seeks organizational types to assist staff with adminstrative and database tasks and mailings.

 

Photographer/Videographer Volunteer

SVMA seeks an experienced photographer and/or videographer to record Museum events.

 

Museum Guides

Museum Guides actively engage visitors with the art and ideas presented by SVMA. They enjoy unique opportunities to interact with exhibiting artists and to learn about art and art history. Guides participate in a special training program, make a two-year commitment to the museum, and receive briefings from exhibiting artists to aid in answering visitor questions.

A.R.T.S. Teaching Assistants

We are currently seeking volunteer teaching assistants for the A.R.T.S (Art Rewards the Student) program.  A.R.T.S. volunteers assist teaching artists conducting art lessons in fourth- and fifth-grade classrooms throughout the Valley with project setup, cleanup, and general wrangling in the classroom and occasional walking excursions. Art experience is helpful though not required. 2-hour shifts/ up to 8-12 sessions.
