 | Carol Setterlund: works from 2002 to 2008 JULY 12 - AUGUST 17 2008 MEMBERS OPENING Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 6:30 - 8:00 pm Among the themes consistent in my work today is the search for ties to the past. I look for the psychological and emotional conflicts, the complexities and existential traumas, with which we struggle. I hope to evoke primitive ritual and classicism, and to express both an empathic and archetypal representation of humanness. That which stirs in the viscera, before sound or conscious image, is most compelling. |
