35 rare etchings by Harmensz van Rijn Rembrandt will come to SVMA April 18th through June 7th with "Sordid and Sacred: The Beggars in Rembrandt's Etchings." Selected from the John Villarino Collection, the pieces were executed between 1629 and 1654, and well known for their richness and beauty. The etchings depict his boldness as an artist in light and shade, thoroughness, and intense humanity and sympathy towards his subjects. The exhibition is organized by Landau Traveling Exhibitions of Los Angeles, CA. The member's opening is scheduled for April 17th. A not-to-be-missed exhibit!
