MAKER Camp: A Collision of ART+TECHNOLOGY

June12-16     10am-3pm     Ages 9+

In this week-long Maker intensive, students will create several digitally coded creations including the exploration and use of robotics, Arduino platforms, and programmed LED light installations.  Maker aficianado Greg Ames, 2-time Maker Faire blue ribbon recipient, will lead the morning class sessions.  Greg is an electronics-digital engineer specializing in Arduino and audio constructions with a passion for building kinetic visual art installations. In the afternoon, in-house art instructor Dianne Aoki will engage students in 2&3-D art projects including painting, printmaking and sculpture.  This camp is an incubator for future entrepreneurial creativity, where students' imaginations and curiosity come to life developing 21st century skills! Individual laptop computers are required.  All other supplies will be provided.
