Make Your Own Alaia or Paipo w Jon Wegener

July 16, 2016 to July 17, 2016
8:30am–4pm

Time to get dusty! Shaper Jon Wegener guides you through this two-day workshop where you'll learn to shape your own paulownia wood board, drawing on the examples of the ancients. Jon and his brother Tom are known around the world for their exquisite paulownia wood alaias, paipos, and hand planes. When you take your alaia or paipo out for the first time (that you made yourself!), you'll understand why Wegener says, "riding an alaia board makes you feel like you've found the soul of surfing."  Pro surfer Rob Machado simply says, "it's about as pure as it gets."

We are sorry to say, this workshop is now full. Call 707-939-7862 to be put on a waiting list.
