Gala 20/20: A VISION OF ART

Sonoma Valley Museum of Art invites you to join us on

Saturday, October 6th, 2018

6pm
Champagne, Cocktails and Appetizers. 
Come and stroll the museum while listening to the Starlite Strings and solo pianist, Stephanie Ozer.
Mingle with friends, have your photo taken with artist Laura Kimpton’s “Love” sculpture, sip on 3 Badge Gin Lemonade, buy your paintbrush to enter the wine draw, and sign up for the Lezione di Cucina cooking class!
 
7.15pm
Leave the museum for a short walk to the moon lit marquee decorated with flowers by Tesoro.
 
7.30pm
Meet Gabriel Butu, our Master of Ceremony and Auctioneer.
Welcome introduction by Nancy Kivelson, President of the SVMA Board.

Sumptuous Dinner, catered by Elaine Bell Catering

Introduction by Executive Director, Linda Keaton.

Return to the Museum for the After Glow Dance Party. 
Dance till midnight with DJ On-Que, enjoy the artistic talents of quick artist, Kelsea Deininger and experience the mixology of the Prohibition Spirits Vodka Bar.

Gala Exhibitions:
Stroll the museum to see 20 Sonoma Collectors, a unique opportunity to view art from Sonoma Collections, including works by Roy DeForest, Tom Friedman, David Hockney, Kiki Smith, and Andy Warhol, among others. Running alongisde will be From Fire, Love Rises, an exhibition celebrating the resiliency and recovery of our community during the Wildfires of 2017, ontheone year anniversary of the fires. In commemoration, the museum will donate a portion of its auction proceeds to the Sonoma Volunteer Firefighters' Association.
 
Fun-A-Need, Art in our HeARTS:
Since 2000, the Art Rewards the Students (A.R.T.S.) has placed teaching artists in every Sonoma Valley 4th and 5th grade classroom at NO COST to the schools. Our 2018 Gala Fund-A-Need, Art in our HeARTS, will support and expand this valuable program to reach even more students in our community.
