Ascend one of Glen Ellen's last freestanding knolls— a stunning 26 acres. The vista, once you're up there, inspires a first deep breath—the slopes of Sugarloaf and all that lie below. The second deep breath, and several after, come from touring the House that Jean Built—she and architect Keith Anding and builder Simon Fairweather.

A tasting of library wines paired with hors d'oeuvres in a romantic private wine cave reminiscent of Lascaux or Chauvet will begin your fabulous evening to celebrate the Summer Solstice. When the sun has set over Sonoma Valley, you will amble back through the olive grove to the house for a four-course candlelit dinner prepared by your hosts, who are both Bon Appetit featured chefs. It will be served by the pool overlooking the Valley and followed by a selection of after-dinner drinks.

A fabulous Brazilian multi-course, seated lunch will be served at Rancho Mineiro, a 60-acre wildlife lover's paradise in the Western hills of Sonoma, including two ponds with swans and an aviary with exotic tropical birds. Other denizens of the many garden areas are peacocks, chickens, ducks, horses, and five Jack Russell terriers. Walking trails meander through lovingly preserved and untouched nature. Simply a magical and treasured place in the Valley of the Moon. Walking shoes advised!
