 | The Splendors of Islamic Art and Architecture The religion of Islam (an Arabic word meaning “submission to God”) arose among the peoples of the Arabian Peninsula early in the seventh century. A distinctive and compelling Islamic tradition of art and architecture quickly followed. Join art historian Ann Wiklund in exploring this fascinating and timely topic. We are offering two series of lectures, one in the afternoons and one in the evenings. The same material will be covered at each. Please sign up for either the afternoon or evening series.
